As of now, very little is known about Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2, outside of their platform (Nintendo DS) and release window (this June for Japan and this Fall everywhere else). Otherwise, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are keeping relatively mum on the first numbered Pokemon sequel - though it's pretty safe to assume they will somehow continue the story of Pokemon Black and White.
The only other tidbit of information that has been revealed so far comes in the form two new legendaries - Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, pictured below. These new forms of Kyurem are clearly a fusion of the monster with Zekrom and Reshiram respectively. We'll have to wait to find out more about these monsters in the coming months, but other than the fact that they may just be the very first Fire/Ice and Electric/Ice Pokemon (here's hoping, as that would be awesome), these new Kyurem fusions open up a cool possibility for future Pokemon games.
Coming soon to a DS near you.
While players have been able to create new types of Pokemon by breeding ever since Gold and Silver, fusing two different species together is something that's never been done in the Pokemon universe. Of course, this could just be a special exception for these new Kyurem forms... but if not, imagine the possibilities.
In fact, imagining the possibilities is just what IGN Nintendo wants you readers to do. Again, we don't know for sure that true Pokemon fusion is imminent (and, granted, it's probably not likely) - but if you could fuse two Pokemon from any generation together, which ones would they be and why?
Pokemon fusions?! Whoa!
My Bidoofonite (above) and Scraggtini (below) are just sample ideas, but I want to see what you come up with. All you have to do is draw or Photoshop your best Pokemon fusion and share it in the comments section below. You can also submit your masterpiece through my My IGN blog or Twitter. The best submissions will be featured in an IGN article sometime next week.
What's better than a Dragonite and a Bidoof? A Bidoofonite!
Ready? Set? FUSE!
