Miguel Cabrera left Tuesday's game against the Twins with a left biceps tendon strain.
Manager Rod Gardenhire announced after the game, Cabrera is done for the season with a ruptured biceps tendon.
Cabrera suffered the injury swinging a bat Tuesday
The 35-year-old first baseman has already missed 30 games on the year with a hamstring injury.
He batted .301 with three home runs and 22 RBIs this season.
