Ratings for Call of Duty: Black Ops

Rating Description
9
Presentation Top-notch as always. Voice acting expertly delivers the story that’s presented in an innovative way. Plot gets just a little bogged down towards the middle. Some design issues hurt mission direction.
7
Graphics Texture pop-in and framerate hiccups happen far too often, but the amount of stuff on-screen is still impressive for Wii gaming.
8
Sound There’s maybe one line in the entire game that could be called cheesy. Sound effects are held back due to the Wii hardware and nothing is as impactful as it is on other consoles.
7.5
Gameplay You can’t help but feel that both the single- and multiplayer could use some new life (like smarter AI). Wii controls perform well enough, but the action is limited due to hardware constraints.
7.5
Lasting Appeal There’s more content than most other shooters. Customization is massive; from Create-A-Class to private matches online. The lack of zombie modes is the only real issue.
7.5
